چکیده

Background There is a lack of literature regarding the arthroscopic approach to single-bundle anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction using quadrupled hamstring tendon graft in north-eastern Indian population. Methodology A prospective, single-center study was planned for patients with ACL tears according eligibility criteria and defined surgical protocol. Patients were followed up from preoperative period at least one year, knee function evaluated International Knee Documentation Committee (IKDC) subjective score Lysholm score. Results total 29 mean 14.6 months (12-22 months). The age 26.83 ± 7.50 years, male:female ratio 4.8:1 almost equal involvement both knees. statistically significant improvement (p<0.001) results Lachman test, drawer pivot shift IKDC score, No intraoperative or postoperative complications found present study. Discussion shows that anatomical grafts minimally invasive, safe, effective procedure provides anteroposterior rotational stability good excellent functional outcomes.

Clinical outcome of Arthroscopic Anatomical Anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction using single bundle Hamstring tendon

Background: Anatomical single bundle arthroscopic Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction has been the standard treatment for ACL injured patients. It is a minimally invasive procedure that allows the surgeon to understand the internal derangements of the knee joint. ACL is the commonly injured ligament in young adults. The purpose of Arthroscopic ACL reconstruction is to restore the no...

Transportal Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction with Quadrupled Hamstring Tendon Graft: A Prospective Outcome Study

BACKGROUND Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction has been one of the most commonly performed procedures throughout the world. Unsatisfactory outcome with conventional ACL reconstruction has been attributed to nonanatomic graft placement. Researchers have advised placing the graft in the native footprint of ACL to avoid nonanatomic graft placement. The goal of this study was to analyze...

“Quadruple hamstring tendon graft versus Bone-Patellar- Tendon-Graft for arthroscopic Anterior Cruciate Ligament

Introduction: Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) tear is the most common ligamentous injury to the knee joint. Two most commonly used grafts for reconstruction are Quadruple Hamstring tendons (QHT) and Bone Patellar Tendon Bone (BPTB) graft. Graft fixation techniques vary with different surgeons. Aim of this study was to compare the clinical outcome of reconstruction of ACL using QHT and BPTB gra...
